I am utterly exhausted. Never again will I do this 4 days a week. I have decided to not sub at Sunset on Tuesdays anymore. I am going to keep Kyle home with me, that way him and I can have a day by ourselves. Everything went good in Madi's class today, there are just 18 4 year olds in that class. They are doing activites and learning non stop. That is enough to drive any person crazy. I have so much more respect for little people teachers. They are overworked and way under payed. You really have to be a special person to work with kids all day long.

I have a Bible study tonight. Even though I'm so tired, I am looking forward to it so much. It's also at Sheila's house, which takes me all of a minute to get there...so I just can't wait. I'm ready for some adult conversation. I have a baby shower this weekend and next weekend. Everyone's having babies! Not me...and I'm so thankful for that right now. I love my two, but oh man are my hands full right now.

Speaking of babies, my baby Madelyn Grace will be 4 years old this tuesday. I just can't believe it. It makes me sad how fast she's grown up. Some advice to those of you about to embark on that part of your lives: cherish it!!!!! Don't ever take it for granted, even on your hardest day. It's so worth it.

Well I gotta go.

What a day!

Today was my first day at Greenlawn. Everything went really well...in my class anyways. In Kyle's class there was a food fight during lunch. Keep in mind that they are 1 year olds. One little girl dumped her lunch on the ground and they all thought that was hillarious, and followed. Kyle's blanket is drenched and no one really got to eat anything, because it was all over the floor. They each got one day ISS. (Kidding)

In Madi's class, I'm not sure what happened. Lisa told me that she was talking back during chapel and I read on her note that there were some problems during P.E. I asked Madi what that was all about and she said that the kids were calling her names. I asked what they called her and she said, "poop and Kelly Clarkson". (Yes, the artist) Once again, I'm not what that is all about. I do know that she told the P.E. teacher that her name was Kelly Clarkson. Madi loves Kelly Clarkson. I wish you could hear her sing, "Here I Am Once Again" It's quite comical.

Yesterday at church I went to go pick up Madi from class and the teacher (who was new) said, "Come on Megan, your mom is here". She told the teacher her name was Megan, who I don't know if I've mentioned is Madi's imiginary friend. Megan and Kristi have been a part of our lives for well over a year now. Sometimes Megan gets her in trouble, and Megan has been known to have a potty mouth, and write on the walls with crayon. I've sent her home several times, but she always comes back. Now who is crazy now???? I have literally opened our car door and let "Megan" out so that she won't influence Madi in a negative way. Ohhhhh children....they are so funny and the things we do for them and because of them.

The kids sent me flowers for my birthday! I think they're daddy helped them a little bit...but I was completely suprised. (These aren't the flowers he sent, tulips are just my favorite) But the ones he sent are BEAUTIFUL! Bunco was a lot of fun too! I really like the girls I play with. It was a great birthday!!!!!

Happy Early Birthday to Me!

Can you believe this weather???? It's almost April and it's snowing! It's crazy!!!! Tomorrow is MY BIRTHDAY! I'm playing bunko tomorrow night. I'm hoping I'll get lucky and win something! Friday night Nathan and I have a date to celebrate. And this weekend, I'll have a party with my family. There's nothing wrong with dragging the celebration out all week long.

Lisa, did you send some digi-pics to Channel 11 of the snow? They just said your name.

The suspense is about to kill me whether I get the job or not at Monterey. I just wish I knew if I was even in the running for it. But I don't want to be pushy and go ask. They should start interviewing at the end of next week. So it shouldn't be too much longer before I know something. I would just like to be able to plan some things, and tell Sunset one way or another if I'm going to teach up there next year. I know worrying about it won't help any...and I'm not worried about it, I just want to know. Ya know??????? Anyways, well that's about it.

The pic won't post, I'll try later!
Well spring break is over, and spring is here. We just need the winter weather to go away now! I love spring...it's my favorite season. This thursday is my birthday...I will be 28 years old. I still feel like I'm 21~ I'm glad I don't act like it though. I can't believe I am 28. That's 10 years older than 18, which sounds nuts to me!

Anyways, not a whole lot is going on...I subbed today in the 2's. They're sweet kids. I will be in Kyle's class on Thursday. Greenlawn's preschool called me yesterday and asked if I could start teaching in the 2's on Monday and Wednesdays for the rest of the school year. I figured why not. It's just for the next two months. I don't think I'd want to do that 4 days a week all the time. That might get a little old, but for now I can do it. I will get to work with Lisa, so that will be fun.

I really can't think of anything exciting to say...things are kind of slow right now, and I am NOT complaining one bit! I'd rather it be that way than crazy. My father in law is still in town. He is snowed out of Nebraska right now. He was planning on going home Monday morning, but couldn't. We're going to meet him in a little bit to eat dinner. I'm sleeply, so I may take a nap before we go. Either that or do the dishes....hmmmm hard choice....

Later!

P.S. This is Frank, my dog. Lauren posted a picture of her dog Frank, who also happens to be a brown daschund. It's a small world...I tried to get him to pose for the camera, he wouldn't. So this is the best I could get for now!

Crazy kids

I'm not sure why it's so fun to climb under a table with all your blankets and babies, but they're having a blast. Of course there are lots of things that they do, that I wonder about...like climbing into a kitchen cabinet. There have been many times that I have walked into the kitchen and half of Kyle is hanging out of the cabinet. Don't even get me started on Madi! You can't see him in these pictures, but her husband Madagascar is under there with her. We call him Madagascar, I don't really know his name. It's the lion from the movie. Nathan won him at the fair and they've been smitten ever since. She told me that he smelt. I told her that since he came from the fair, he probably smelt because of the "carneys". (Come on...they are a breed unto their own) So now anytime something smells, she blames the "carneys". They certainly keep things lively!

Not a lot is going on. It's spring break, of course there is not much of a "break". I've been cleaning. What I hate about cleaning is that, there is no beginning and no end. I like things that have a start and completion. Not with housecleaning...you always have something to do. It's annoying.

My father in law is coming into town today. They live in Nebraska but are moving here in May. He is coming to do some work on the house. It's actually our old house. They are redoing the entire thing. It's looking really good.

Well that's about it...I hope you're day is blessed!

Happy Birthday Jenny Jew!

Today is my friend Jenny's birthday. I'm not for sure why we call her Jenny Jew~ it just sounded good, I guess. She's not cheap...or any other stereotypical trait that a jew might have. It just started and it has stuck all these years. Anyways, Jenny I feel bad, b/c I got a new cell phone and I didn't transfer my phone book. So I don't have your phone number and my photographic memory is failing me a little these days. I know your area code by memory, but I can't remember the rest. Although, if you need the number to Atmos or Cox or any other random number in the phone book, call me b/c I still remember those. But I hope you have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!

Well today was pet day. It went over really well. I subbed today in the 2's. I'm subbing there after spring break too. I like that age, it just seems like you're constantly taking someone to the bathroom or changing a diaper. Frank, our daschund, came to pet day with Nathan. He left a little bit early, b/c Nathan said he was misbehaving and barking at all the other dogs. Well that and he also seemed to be very "excited" by all the other dogs.

Well I got my resume turned in yesterday at Monterey for the part time children's minister position. I am really interested in the position, but I don't know how many people applied for it, or if they have someone in mind for it...don't know much. Sunset has also offered me the teaching position at their school for next year too. Monterey won't even start interviews until April. I'm at peace about it all, b/c I know whichever works out will be for the best. I've just had the worst time making decisions lately.

On another note...I'm very excited about something. If you're reading this and you know me then you know that Chrissy and I haven't really talked or had a relationship in quite sometime. Tomorrow night we're going to eat together. She's having a baby boy in May. They haven't named him yet. I suggested Leonard. (Brian wanted to change his name to Leonard when he was little) We've been emailing for the last 2 weeks, and have decided to have dinner. I've missed her a lot, and thought so much about her. She's doing good~ and I'm glad. Anyways, I just wanted to share.

Please pray about the whole Monterey thing. I know the best thing will happen~ but I still need prayers.

What???

What was on Charlize Theron's shoulder? At first I thought it was a bird, but then I decided that maybe it was a pillow. Which is really smart...she could just lean over and take a nap during all the boring awards.

Oscar Night

I'm feeling SO much better. I feel like I've returned to the land of the living. The Oscars are fixing to start. I'm glued to the T.V. to see what everyone is wearing. So far nothing scary. There's always that "what was she thinking" dress, so I'll keep watching, b/c I'm sure it will surface somewhere.

As far as the actual awards I'm really hoping Reese Witherspoon wins. I really like her a lot. I also hope that Crash wins. That is an awesome movie. If you haven't seen it, go rent it now! I also like Terrence Howard. Hustle and Flow was a good movie too. If you can get past all the "pimp talk". It kind of made us laugh. I don't even know who's nominated for anything else. Like I said, I mostly watch to see what everyone looks like. I actually hate all the political drama that Hollywood brings along with it.

Well gotta go!

Long week...

This has been an incredibly long week. I think I said about last week too. I hope a trend isn't developing. I had to take Kyle back to the Dr. Friday morning, because he wasn't responding to his meds and instead getting worse. They changed his antibiotics. I went to the Dr. this morning and I have an upper respiratory infection. Kyle has started feeling better. I, however, do not feel better. I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll be getting some relief. Other than that not a whole lot is going on. I'm subbing this thursday in the 2's. It's also pet day. Nathan is going to bring our dog Frank up to Sunset. Last year when they did it, I thought it would be chaotic. It was really very controlled. All the animals sat in a circle with their owners and the kids came in and looked at them all. Cats, dogs, and birds all together in perfect harmony! Anyways, well I'm going to make me some hot tea. By the way, I'm looking for a good book to read. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What a beautiful morning!

Well guess what! It's a little before 4 a.m. and I'm awake! I've been up 2:30...again! That seems to be our magic number. I got a nice 4 hour nap, so maybe that will hold me over for a while! Lisa, are you awake? I'll start the coffee and cinnamon rolls and you just come over whenever you want.

I did end up taking Kyle to the Dr. yesterday morning, and he has an ear infection. Okay, so he did have a reason to cry. He never had fever, and he didn't have a cold...I felt bad. I've been lucky to have children who have been very healthy. Neither of them had ear infections until they were 18 months+ Kyle had his first about a month ago, and now has another in the other ear. He's on meds now, I just don't understand why he won't go to sleep. So now he's walking around the house with one shoe on and one shoe off playing. Lauren "tagged" me, so I thought I'd post it.
