Well it's official...there is a beating heart! We went for our ultrasound this morning, and there it was! And there's only one. Everyone has been telling me I'm having twins...but they only saw one, and we are just fine with that!!! It was pretty neat to be able to see a heartbeat at only 7 weeks!!

We had kind of a crazy weekend. On Friday I started feeling sick. I just couldn't find anything to eat that didn't taste, smell or somehow remind me of throwup. I think I got a little bit of a bug, but I am feeling a lot better now. I am still having to be careful what I eat, but I was pretty miserable this weekend.

Madi was sick too. I took her to the doctor on Sunday. She ran fever through the night, and complained about her ear and throat. So now we have two kids on antibiotics. She was so funny at the doctor. We went to another doctor, b/c it was Sunday and her pediatricians office was closed. She told him, "I'd like to see my regular doctor." And then she told the nurse to please not touch her uvula. (the hangy thing in the back of your throat) One time I told her what that was called, and she still remembers.

Nathan's mom was here this weekend which was a big help. She did all my laundry and just helped take care of the kids. Friday night we went and saw "The Departed"....wow!!!! Not many other words to describe that movie. I don't recommend it if you don't like violence and blood and guts. But it was highly entertaining!

I was bound and determined to go the Tech/Texas game on Saturday with Nathan. Even though sitting in the stands I thought I was going to lose my lunch. Which I guess I'd fit in with every other drunk person around us. There were plenty where we were sitting. We were robbed!!!!! Robbed, robbed, robbed!!!! Tech should have won that game. There were so many bad calls. But oh well.

Anyways, I stayed home this afternoon with the kids. Neva watched them this morning while we went to the doctor and then I came home, so she could head back. But that's about it. I have to go before my computer dies. I'm too lazy to walk into the living room and get the power cord! Have a great week!!!!!

Big News!!!

Well we have big news from the Manweiler house. We are pregnant! This may come as a shock to some of you, well it did to us as well! This wasn't planned, but we are all very excited. I am 6 1/2 weeks along. We were going to wait until Monday to announce after my first ultrasound, but the cat kind of got out of the bag...so we decided to go ahead and let everyone know! I hope none of you were offended that I emailed you and told you to come read my blog, but I'm not sure who are "regulars" and who aren't. It was just going to be a lot easier this way to announce all at once. And besides, I know most of you are like, "oh yeah, Larissa is having ANOTHER kid." So don't think you can be this impersonal with me when your time comes....Jenny, Sheila!!!

Anyways, I am due June 18th. When we go on Monday, they will probably move the due date, depending on the size of the baby so far. So I'll have a better idea of what we're looking at. We're going to Covenant this time. Yeah, I wanted to avoid getting any life threatning illnesses this time, so I have a new OBGYN and all. So far I am feeling really well. I had been a little nervous, b/c for me with both of my pregnancies spending time on my knees in front of the toilet was just normal. But so far, so good. I was feeling great everyday, until about Friday. But I certainly don't have anything to complain about. I am hungry all the time!!! I didn't gain very much weight with either of my last two...20 pounds with Madi, and 8 pounds with Kyle. Well I'm pretty sure, I've already gained 8 pounds. I had lost about 5-7 before I got pregnant, and then I found out I was pregnant. So yeah, I'm going to be as big as a house when it's all over, but it's alright. I'll just have my work cut out for me, when the baby gets here.

This wasn't planned. We were really only planning on having two. I had my moments where I wanted another, but they only lasted about an hour out of the month. I just didn't see how we would fit another child into our lives. But God has a wonderful way of working those kind of things out, and he has already shown us many things, so we are excited.

I'm really planning on enjoying this pregnancy. I know for sure this time, it's my last, and we're just in different places in our lives right now than we were in the past with the other two. We are so much more settled and secure with Nathan's career for one thing. And we're not moving right after this one's born like we did with the other two either.

Madi kind of knows. We have talked about having another baby with her, and she has already decided that it's a girl, and we'll name her Elizabiss (that's how she says Elizabeth) She said that she has prayed to God to send us a girl. I sure hope she's not disappointed. Nathan thinks it's a boy. We have a name conflict if it's a boy. There is a name that he is dead set on, and I am dead set NOT on. It would just be easier if it were a girl, so that wouldn't even be an issue. But personally we have been so blessed with each, that I will be thrilled with either. A girl would be nice, b/c Madi is kind of out numbered. On Nathan's side of the family, she is the only girl, and Chad and Traci will not be having any other children. On our side, Madi is also the only girl. But I have enjoyed my little boy Kyle so much, that I would love to have another little boy too.

So that's our big news. We ask for prayers that this little one is healthy. I didn't really give it a lot of thought before. I mean, yes, we wanted a healthy baby, but it never crossed my mind that it wouldn't be healthy. I think as we grow and mature, we start to realize how fragile life really is.

Well that's about it! I can't believe I'm going to be a momma again!!! I really am happy!

DeJaVu

Well we are back from the ENT and we are having another set of tubes put in both ears on November 3rd, along with Kyle's adenoids being taken out. Dr. Scholaro thinks that having his adenoids taken out would dry him up a little bit. Only one tube came out, but the one in his left ear is so blocked that it's not even doing it's job, so he is going to put another one in there. He will have to have an I.V. this time, but overall he said, it's very fast and easy. November 3rd also happens to me our 5th aniversary, so it will be nice to have the day off, even thought it is really for his surgery.

Anyways, so that's the latest...hope you all have a good weekend!

Days of our Ears

I feel as though I should rename this blog and call it "Days of Our Ears" or "Days of Kyle's Ears", but none the less, I find myself consumed with his ears. The saga last left off with him taking a nap. Well when he woke up, I got him out of bed and saw this white thing stuck to his ear. I thought it was dried drainage, but no, it was not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a tube. I was so upset. I didn't know whether to cuss or cry. So I chose to cry. My guess is that all the drainage just eventually pushed the tube out that has only been there for a little over 6 weeks. I called Dr. Scholaro and he goes in Thursday. Tubes are made to fall out, but not this early. So I'm hoping there is like a 90 day money back guarantee. So I don't know. I ask for prayers. I can't control this situation, and I know I'm trying to and that's my problem. So I just have to let go of it, and know that God is in control. I just want him to be well, and it would be nice if he would stay well. Anyways, stay tuned...

Lazy Dayz

I loved this weather we had this past weekend! It was so nice! Even though I wanted to be lazy I got everything that I set out to do! Saturday morning, we went and ate breakfast with my mom and sisters at Suzanne's house. Madi and Kyle helped give Ryder a bath. It was so cute! They are both such good helpers.

We went back to the doctor today. On Friday night, Kyle's ear started leaking. It leaked all weekend, and it was very disgusting. I almost threw up looking at it today! Well come to find out, it's supposed to do that. I am amazed at how much drainage he had in there. However, his other ear, that's not leaking is infected. She said that's normal after tubes to have an ear infection. So once again, we are on antibiotics. We go back to the ENT on the 24th, so hopefully we will hear some good news.

Other than that, life is the same ole', same ole. Nathan stayed home with the kids this morning, and I am home this afternoon. Kyle is sleeping, so that means I am too! Madi the napless wonder is watching cartoons. I miss being at home!

LOST

Is this not the best show ever??? I have never watched a show that you can get into so much emotionally. It is just so unfair how all these people are being treated!!! I just hope that they end the show as well as it has been written so far. If you're not a fan...go rent it. I promise you will become obsessed...and I'm sure that's what we all need. Something else to take up our time, but this is really worth it!

Random thoughts

Well another week is gone, and a new one is upon us! Things have been rather calm. I did have to take Kyle to the doctor on Thursday. His nose just won't stop running, and I always get scared that he has another ear infection. His ears are infection free, which we are thrilled about, but one is a little blocked. We have to get it open, so that he doesn't get an infection. It's blocked with drainage, that is one of my goals...to get his ear clear! He has had the worst diaper rash. I got some new stuff to help with it though, and it works wonders! It's called Corona. When my friend, Lisa first told me about it, I thought she was talking about the beer. I've heard of some wierd things, but putting beer on my child's bottom is probably drawing the line. But no, it is not the beer. It's actually for horses. And it works great! I have a feeling that we will be going back to the doctor next week, b/c he's not clearing up, and she wants to start looking into sinusitis and all that. I just feel bad for the guy.

On the way back from the doctor I got rear ended by this 90 year old man, who didn't even realize he had run into me. How scary is that? When he hit me, I was on the phone with Nathan, and I got out of the car and walked back to his, and he was just staring at me like, "Can I help you?" I told him that I think he just ran into me, and he was like, "Oh, I didn't know that." It didn't do any damage, so I just went on my way. I love the elderly, but that is really scary!

We all went to the game Saturday, and that's all I'm really going to say about that. Although, it made me really mad. Tech fans are so fair weathered! The kids and I left just after the 2nd quarter started, b/c we were on the side where no one sits down, and that's just not fun holding a 30+ pound weight on your hip. But like all the students were leaving and cussing when it was going down hill. I just wanted to yell at them to grow up. If you're a fan, then you're a fan through the good and the bad. And if you're not, then you're not really a fan at all. And besides that, we weren't even in the student section, but a lot of young people were sitting where we were. (We were not in our usual seats) And some of the things they yell out loud, hello...earmuffs!!!! There are children around!!!! I don't plan on bringing my children back for a while. Or I'll go find all the old people and sit with them. I just hope they don't run into my car.
But it was a very valiant effort to spend some family time together, and that is what's most important!

Okay, so one more thing, and then I'm going to go. I don't generally talk about work, but I'm going to go out on a limb here. I'm a salaried employee, and I don't get paid for overtime. That being said, why would they start asking a "few" of us to start clocking in? They told about 6 girls up there, me included, that we have to start clocking in and out. I'm a little offended. Well actually they didn't tell me anything, I was at the doctor's office when they implemented this new rule. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Actually, I'm very aware of how I feel, I'm just not sure what to do about it. It's not just that instance, this is something in a long line of other things that have happened.

Anyways, well that's about it. I hope you all have a good week.

Great Weekend

Fair fun

Well even though Nathan was gone, it was a nice weekend. The kids and I went to the care center in Slaton and visited with my grandparents and Mema. They are all doing really well. We sat out on the patio and they ate their lunch. Then my mom took the kids for the afternoon, and I got to have some alone time. I went and got my nails done, and went shopping for the kids. I had to get them some clothes for the winter. I bought Kyle a pair of jeans for his birthday. (what a great present for a 2 year old!) and they were really big when I bought them, and I thought that would be okay, b/c they would last him through the winter. I put them on him for the Tech game last Saturday, and they are already too short, and I had to unbuttom them during the game b/c they were too tight. He is a little monster!! So I went and got each of them some clothes.

Then I came home to watch the Tech game...which I still am so glad we won! At first I had said I didn't really care to go to any of the out of town games, but I changed my mind a couple of weeks ago. I am going to go to the OU game, and then of course the UT game that is here. We are going to drop the kids off at Spearman, where his parents live, and then drive to Norman. I think it will be a lot of fun. One of the Erics is going with us, but it will still be fun. I just hope they realize there is a girl on the trip, b/c I don't do "man" trips. I DO shower everyday, and I DO sleep at night. But whatever we do, it will be fun. Sometimes it's just good to be crazy and do something spontaneous. Since becoming a mom, I don't do spontaneous very well. So I am looking forward to it!

Madi spent the night with my parents last night. My mom is going to bring her home this afternoon. We have a baby shower that we are both going to. Last night after they brought Kyle home, him and I went and got groceries. And then he went to bed, and I had a very nice and quiet evening. It was really nice to get some alone time this weekend!!! Nathan should be home in the next hour.
Well I hope you all have a great week!
