Friendship

Ya know, some of your comments about chapel got me to thinking. I would have to say Lauren's in paticular. I started thinking, and although at one time I hated "having" to go somewhere every single day, I took that for granted. I guess I would have to say that I am now a little bit older and little more mature, and I wish I had some of that time back. How awesome would it be now to be able to see your friends everyday! I would love to take 30 minutes out of my day and commit that time to worshiping God. And have the huge added bonus of seeing my friends. I miss everybody! Even people that I wasn't close friends with...I still enjoy knowing that those people are doing well and are living a good, Christian life. Sure we have all had our differences at times, but that is part of growing up and trying to figure out how to find our passage into the "real world". Life is way too short to hold grudges. There are some people that I still think are idiots, but I have also learned that as much fun as it probably would be to kick them in the face, it's not my job. You know what they say about Karma!!

I don't know, maybe I am feeling a little sappy, but I really do wish everyone the best, and I really do miss my friends. I miss the fun times. The crazy dorms, the hall parties, laying out on the roof, just say no to no-doz, staying up all night "studying" (yeah right, that's why it took me so long to get out of there!) I could make a list a mile long. There's one thing I can never say. I can never say I did not have fun in college. And I thank you if you had a part in that. Okay, I'm going to go now. I think I'm going to cry....what in the world is wrong with me????

Stop crying and think about this:
'Baking' blueberry biscuits in a toaster oven in the hall and nearly burning the place down.

(but those were good buscuits!)

Many of my favorite memories from LCU include you:).

College friends and memories are priceless (not to sound cliche!). Thanks for sharing this today!

Love, Celeste

Funny, we were just discussing chapel after Ladies Class today at lunch. I miss the singing at ACU but have to admit I slid and glid the fifth year I was there. Its my ten year class reunion this October and I am trying to decide if it would be fun to go or not. I still keep up with my closest friends. Trent was the only faculty wearing shorts on stage yesterday.....hee hee :)

Oh chapel days . . I also got several "kick out of school notices" for missing so much but some how got out of it and was able to graduate.

Coloring hair in the hallway,
Sliding down the stairs on the mattresses, staying up until 2 am every night. How did we do it? I loved dorm life.

Oh yeah -and remember that Amber got a 'thumbs down' memo (graphic included) in her mailbox for laughing hysterically during recycle chapel. Hey, it wasn't her fault that they kept repeating "reduce, recycle, reuse" to us like we were a bunch of fifth graders!

well, i guess i feel like i need to say "you are welcome" since you are thanking everyone that contributed to your fun times in college - i would like to think we had a little fun back in the day with our big disfunctional group.
on the other hand, i hope you don't want to kick me in the face too bad.

Man...I am still there...living in a dorm, going to chapel-ha ha...I may never get out of this environment! Trust me, there is a time where I think you get too old to live in a dorm and stay up until 2...oh wait, it is 2:02!!

It really is a tremendous blessing to work on a campus with such incredible people who share the same vision and are striving to live for God. Although I definitely do not make it every day to chapel (I am supposed to go 3 times a week) ;), it really is a blessing when I do. I realize what a unique position I am in and try not to take it for granted. It is SO much bigger, though-so there is definitely more talking!! I think I may even get a chance to speak in chapel this year-in front of 4000+ people-scary...yet exciting!!

I definitely took chapel for granted too when I was at LCU-and I was an RA for 2 years!! If we missed one it counted twice-ugh!! That adds up really fast...lol

Hope you are doing well! Blessings~
