Space for grace

I've been reading an article that a life coach named Cheryl Richardson wrote. It's about surrender. I found a paticular passage interesting and thought I'd share. I'm really trying to adopt this myself.

"Say a prayer and let it go. When you're able to put faith in an outcome you can't yet see, you make space for grace."

Space for grace...interesting.

"And here's the funny thing about letting go: When we learn to surrender, we then make space for true miracles to happen. Are you ready for a miracle?"

Yes!

I really like that. I should try it soon. I have a hard time letting go. I like to hold on and worry.

How interesting that we must give a little to get a little. It is so much easier to say, I am in control of my own destiny. God is just waiting for us to give Him that space to work.

Great thoughts!!

I totally agree. It is hard to just let God have stuff but once you do- it is very liberating. We get so used to being independent and handling things ourselves, dont we?

I like that phrase! I am getting a lot better at this- it sure takes a lot of pressure and stress off of me when I do surrender. I would drive myself crazy trying to figure out how I was going to fix whatever was going on. Now, it's like, OK God, I am looking for what I know you are going to do- show me how I can help or if I just need to sit here and be in awe of how you can do anything! 32 years and I am starting to catch on... wow, quick study huh?
