Peanut Butter

Okay, so does anybody BESIDES ME have a can of this peanut butter than COULD BE infested salmonella? I just opened mine this morning, and ate a sandwich, and gave Kyle one too. On the way to school I heard them talking about the peanut butter scare. I came home a little bit ago and got on their website to check and see if I had a jar of it. And yes, I do. I don't even buy Peter Pan peanut butter, I just bought it on Sunday, b/c it was on sale. Hmmm...wonder why??? So they give you a number you can call for more info, but of course it is busy. I really hope we don't get sick.

We had the same peanut butter, except we've eaten half the jar! Matthew lives on peanut butter spoons. But from what I can gather, symptoms develop within 8 to 12 hours and will be food poisoning type symptoms. I hope you guys are okay!!

Yes, I checked my jar and it's "under recall" too. It should be okay because Colt and some of his friends ate it on a ski trip last week. Nobody died...there was some vomiting, but I don't think that was due to peanut butter!

Larissa,

Thank you or your sweet comments. I am so thankful that hearing some of my story gives you hope. I am in the process of writing “my story” and sharing everything I went through and how God has brought me through. You are so right, hope is a wonderful thing and had I not held onto that I would have been a basket case. Life without hope would not be worth living.

One of the many scriptures that I clung too was Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

You are in my prayers sweet sister.

Sorry, this has nothing to do with peanut butter but I haven't commented on your last couple. I am interested to read that Beth Moore book. I just read Feathers From My Nest from her and it is so good. You need to read it!! Thanks for continuing to share your strength!

We had the Great Value one almost all gone too. Don't think I will be going to the trouble to send in my lid to get back a whopping $1.something!

I have two jars and both of them have that number on it. One jar was almost empty. Me and the girls are fine but David made me throw them both away. One jar was almost new. Mom had the number on her jars too. My girls have had a lot of that peanut butter.
